Sewing Classes by Connie
Most classes are taught at Field's Fabrics on 44th Street. Private lessons are taught at my home in Kentwood a couple miles from Field's.
Please bring the items below to each class. You are encouraged to bring your own machine but may use one from the classroom. Field’s sewing machines are mostly Bernina and a few Singers, and relatively easy to use but bringing yours allows you to learn it’s features so you don't get stuck sewing at home. Classes are relaxed and friendly to provide plenty of help. We start with basics of the sewing machine and how to handle fabric while sewing. You’ll make a drawstring bag, then a chef's apron. In Beginner 2 class you'll use a pattern to make lounge pants. Then you choose an easy to sew pattern to make. For additional information, you may contact Connie at connie.sewing@gmail.com or 616-881-2894.
